Some facts about the life of an European bison.
Since the beginning of February, the European Bison Friends Society started promotion of the education program "A few facts of European bison life". First lessons, assisted by Martyna, took place in Warsaw Zoological Garden during "Winter holidays in the city" program. Next ones were organized in over a dozen of schools in Warsaw and its suburbs and in culture center in Mysiadło. Nevertheless the capital is not the only area of promoting the program. CDs were sent to centers of environmental education, where they are used during workshops and classes with children.
The children showed great enthusiasm. Teachers were as well satisfied and declared to use the presentation in future, during environmental education. "I am very glad to have the presentation. It will allow to easily and in an attractive way educate my pupils" - that's the opinion of one of Warsaw teachers. During every lesson the pupils were encouraged to take active part. In the end they were given some promotional gadgets of the Society.
Altogether, 700 children, aged 8-14, had possibility to participate in the lesson. We hope, that they will not forget these gorgeous animals, and in future - spread their knowledge among others.
